Do you believe art and design have a capacity to create green jobs, raise awareness, to change social habits, including our general attitude towards nature?
We are working on building an international community dealing with reuse, repurpose and upcycling of waste or useless/ dysfunctional products in order to provide sustainable design/art and a sustainable economy. With that aim, the project gives the opportunity to develop the skills and capacity of designers by organizing a 10 days working lab and developing a business model for upcycling to provide sustainable economic growth opportunities for the creative community.
Project is implemented under the coordination of Les Créatives de Demain from Nice, France. The project consortium consists of 4 institutions including the Coordinator. These are;
- European Development Institute- EDI (Brussels, Belgium)
- Creative Random Universe - CRU (Porto, Portugal)
- Green Muse ( Rheine, Germany)

Results
Project has 2 main results.
The objective of the Crea-Up project is to install the habits of reusing, repairing and repurposing products within society. By doing so, both consumers and designers will actively contribute to ecological transformation and climate change mitigation. Art and design possess a distinctive capability to generate green employment opportunities, raise awareness, challenge societal habits, and facilitate behavioral changes, including our overall attitude towards nature.
